MiMi & PopPop's visit

We were so excited to have Chris' parents visit last week! Jeanne made it to Sydney's family picnic/preschool graduation. As you can see Syd was very excited to have her MiMi with her! (look at her hands, precious!) ;) 




They played games and sang songs for us. I can't believe she'll be in Kindergarten in the fall! She has grown up so much this year.

PopPop flew in so we could all be together for a long weekend. We decided to hit Boston again. MiMi, mommy, and the kids hung out at the Children's Museum all day. So fun!

Wondering where the guys were?...They caught the T and

headed over to Fenway for a tour! Here they are sitting on top of the "Green Monstah". "Green Monster" for all of you non-New Englanders. :) If you have no clue what this is (like me), go ask your husbands. ;)

As Jeanne says "this is what Chris will look like in 28 years"....see a resemblance? John always says the grandkids look like him and even digs up pictures of him as a child. I think it's so cute! He's probably right b/c we hear that the kids look like Chris a lot! :)

We realize it takes a lot of money, vacation time, energy, etc for family to visit us and we feel so very blessed when they make those sacrifices for us! We got a visit from BOTH sets of grandparents this Spring and couldn't ask for anything more!!! I love knowing the kids will have such great memories of these special moments shared with their grandparents ;)

Easter

This Easter was special. My parents flew in to be with us! This has been the first time to have family with us on Easter in 5 yrs. We were super excited!  We picked them up at the Boston airport and came home to dye eggs.  

Then we got ready and headed to church. ;)

Easter morning we woke to a beautiful day. God is Good!  We checked out our easter baskets and discussed the Resurrection eggs. Later we did an egg hunt. It was so funny. They are all at such different stages; Allie-quickly went inside to sort her eggs and candy; Syd-didn't want to open any and begged to hide them again the minute she finished; G-found one egg at a time, plopped down and worked on the wrapper, ate his candy then took off for another one! ;)

Then we sat down to enjoy our Easter meal.

Play date

Before Easter, Syd had a play date with her friend Chloe Hardy. They had a blast! First they played with Allie's salon...G was happy to be their client. haha

  (those are fake scissors by the way).

 When G went down for a nap, we decided we'd do some pampering.

They are soaking their feet to begin our pedies.

 We made shrinky dinks and watched them bake as our toenails dried.

 Love this one!!! 

 They were so excited as they we got down to the countdown to take them out!

It was a joy filled day. They spent all day with NO fighting, pretty impressive for 4 and 5 yr olds!

So I had to back up and post some of my fav Christmas pictures from 2010. :) We were in Indiana with family and had so much fun. I'm already shopping for plane tickets to go back this summer!

This is me and my sister. Could we look any more different?! and yes we have the same parents AND I was not adopted despite what she tried to tell me all these yrs. I now have my birth certificate!

So everyone now says Allie is a mini-me. I take this as a compliment b/c I think she's adorable!
